Damon Johnson was born on July 13, 1964, in Macon, GA. He is a very famous guitarist, vocalist, and founding member of “Brother Cane”. It is a popular hard rock band of the 1990s.
Till now, he has performed with bands like Whiskey Falls, Black Star Riders, and Thin Lizzy. He was able to perform on Alice Cooper’s 2005 Dirty Diamonds album. During his days in the eigth grade in Monroeville, Alabama, Damon was able to form his first rock band.
Some of his early professions include Witness and Delta Rebels. On the Southeast US college club circuit, Damon performed the “Split the Dar” act which was very popular and won the MTV “Basement Tapes” competition in 1986.

Johnson contributed songwriting and guitar duties to Sammy Hagar’s Marching to Mars album in 1997. Later, he recorded an all-acoustic solo album consisting of his own compositions. Two side projects had also been released: Slave to the System in 2001 and Red Halo in 2003.
While being with Chyld, Damon was able to get the attention of the A&R at Virgin Records. In 2004, Johnson was recruited for Alice Cooper’s band. He also recorded with Alice Cooper on his album titled “Dirty Diamonds” and toured with the band.
The tour was from 2004 to 2007. Then, he left this band and joined Whiskey Falls. Later, in 2009, he returned to Alice Cooper’s Band. At that time, he was featured in the 2010 Live Concert DVD & CD, Theatre of Death – Live at Hammersmith.
In 2011, Johnson got separated from Alice’s Band and became a full member of “Thin Lizzy”. Johnson recorded a version of the “Thin Lizzy” song titled “Borderline” on his first solo album called “Dust” in 2000.
